Validation and verification of climate protection projects

Swiss climate protection projects must be reviewed by an independent body before they are registered with the Swiss government. econcept is accredited by the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) as an institution for the validation and verification of climate protection projects in Switzerland.

A current example of a verification carried out by econcept:

myclimate's hot water saving programme for Switzerland promotes hot water saving in buildings with fossil water heating. The focus lies on the installation of efficient shower heads or water saving nozzles for showers and taps in households, hotels and homes. Fossil CO2 emissions are saved through reduced water consumption. The programme was registered as a climate protection project by FOEN in 2014 and has been reviewed annually since then. econcept checks the current status of its implementation and the calculated emission reductions.
